Patches for the usb-storage driver should be sent to the maintainer, Matthew Dharm, and copied to the mailing list at one-eyed-alien.net. Matt monitors this list too, but things sent to the usb-storage list are more likely to attract his attention. Diff -u is the appropriate form for a patch.
