It seems 'kinda basic that a device should drain the queue before
closing. I would expect that the author would have just stolen
the code that is in the tty driver (tho I havent looked at either
the usb or tty driver under Linux), and done something similar.
Ah well, as I noted, a short sleep solves the problem for now...
