Whoops, I didn't actually test the patch. :) Anyway, the patch does do something useful. It's not 100%, but at least I don't crash anymore.
Suspend/remove kills USB until I insert/remove ehci-hcd. I can do this over and over with suspend/remove and USB seems to always recover after I remove and insert the module. It's getting there...
