We are Linux. Resistance is futile and we can do miracles. The question is, is it worth it? Simplicity is a virtue. The only action that might, just might, be somewhat common is reading the tree, so with an rwsem we are on the safe side in this regard and for the rest correctness, which is easier ensured by simplicity, is the the only worthwhile goal.
