Hi,
We have recently updated our local tree to David's bk-2.4 but still see
transmission stops with the RNDIS driver on PXA. It can easily be
reproduced by pinging from a Windows host to the gadget; after some
minutes the pings are simply not answered any more.
Are they received? "ifconfig usb0" should show RX packet counters increasing.
We are in the process of debugging the thing, but as it is not that easy
with RNDIS I would like to hear if other people see the problem as well;
please also tell me which controller driver you are using.
Dave, could you do the ping test on your NetChip machine?
I've had a WinME host pinging a gadget-2.6/net2280 system for over half an hour with no problems now. I'll leave it doing that until I need those systems for something else; how long did it take for the problem to show up?
With respect to the problem David Meggy reported (worked around by not testing cp[28] in that one request), I've not yet made time to look at that. I was thinking I'd do that at the same time I looked at the big-endian support patch that Jon Neal posted. Did you notice that? He reported a similar fault mode: no response to the incoming packet. But it showed up immediately, no time delay.
