Hello list,
there seems to be a problem with the USB Reiner-SCT Cyberjack in the
2.6.6-rc3 Kernel.
The cyberjack module is created as a module in the kernel.

The following observations can be made:
1. after an APM resume, plugging in the reader results in:

ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 4 reset error -110
hub 4-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 4 reset error -110
hub 4-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 4 reset error -110
hub 4-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 4 reset error -110
hub 4-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 4 reset error -110
hub 4-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
hub 4-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 4. Maybe the USB cable is bad?

yberjack is not in lsmod.

after modprobe cyberjack
it looks better:

drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Reiner
SCT Cyberjack USB card reader
usbcore: registered new driver cyberjack
drivers/usb/serial/cyberjack.c: v1.0 Matthias Bruestle
drivers/usb/serial/cyberjack.c: REINER SCT cyberJack pinpad/e-com USB
Chipcard Reader Driver

Howwvwe, the reader cannot be accessed by the software.

2. With the reader attached and a card inserted during boot, everything
comes up nicely. And the reader can be used once. But when unplugged and
reinserted same problem as above.

3. additionally inserting the PalmPilot with module visor seems to create a
"competition" between the two drivers.

I have no idea how much of this relevant to this list. Perhaps the
developers can pick up the pieces.
