I see in your earlier message that the device driver you're using lives under drivers/legousbtower. That isn't in among my source files, so I can't tell what it might be doing. Is it possible that the change you pinpointed has exposed a bug in your driver? For example, maybe you access the device or interface structure after disconnect() has returned? Before this patch that wouldn't have mattered because those structures were never deallocated, but with the patch they are freed after the device drivers are unbound.
