How are you going to handle getting the firmware file to users?

I agree with Oliver, stuff like this is good for a development cycle,
not a stable series.  Care to hold off on this till 2.7?

As for the Debian issue, see my comments 4 years about this issue on the
debian-legal list, it's not a new issue by any means.  Back then I asked
for patches during the development cycle.  None showed up :(
