after building kernel 2.6.2 with usb support and hotplugging i plug in my usb cable modem and get the following error:
usbnet: probe of 4-2:11 failed with error -75 I believe this is an overflow error and is referred to as data babble from a device. I configured my kernel with OHCI suppport but not EHCI because I thought EHCI was not for my motherboard (MSI 865PE Neo2). The error sounds to me(totally ignorant about device drivers) like incompatable protocols between my usb device and my cable modem. could it be a speed problem. should i recompile my kernel with EHCI support? and if I do will this effect other packages i have installed i.e. gnome.? regards, paul. ____________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
