Yes, I was wrong. The post_helper wasn't taken for 2.4.26. I was sure it was. I am going to send it to Marcelo now. Sorry.
No problem. Thanks for that info. So I will continue to work with my patch which is "a works for me" solution on my UP system. Could you please let me know once the patch is in the kernel?
This means that even if Marcelo takes it this time, the adoption of the 2.6 scheme for non-closing gisconnects is going to happen after 2.4.26 (most likely). Ditto the wakeup-of-select(). This is a glacial pace, but we are in 2.4 after all.
I will keep an eye on this in future releases of 2.4.x.
