Sorry,I can't find where HeadP is set to td[0].
Look more closely at td_fill(), which morphs the dummy into td[0].
HeadP -> dummy
becomes
HeadP-> td[0] -> dummy'
where dummy' was previously td[0] and td[0] was previously dummy.
