After that, usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0in is issued and the mouse (as well as both HCDs) stop working. The mouse is still powered when that happens, but replugging won't power it up anymore. Here's a log of the event and a trace of cat /proc/bus/usb/devices, which also hangs. 2.6.5 to 2.6.6-vanilla needed the mouse to be replugged after suspend to work in X, but otherwise were fine. kernel: Restarting tasks... done kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0in [...] kernel: cat D 00000000 0 6482 6214 (NOTLB) kernel: cd071d14 00200082 cf690180 00000000 ffe805e1 00000002 d19540e1 013e993a kernel: 56b35580 000f4530 c1372740 00000000 56b35580 000f4530 cf610868 cd071da0 kernel: cd071d48 cd071000 cd071d68 c02b1baf 00000000 cf6106c0 c011147e 00000000 kernel: Call Trace: kernel: [<d19540e1>] uhci_submit_control+0x224/0x268 [uhci_hcd] kernel: [<c02b1baf>] wait_for_completion+0x6b/0xb8 kernel: [<c011147e>] default_wake_function+0x0/0xc kernel: [<d19721fd>] hcd_submit_urb+0xe0/0x139 [usbcore] kernel: [<c011147e>] default_wake_function+0x0/0xc kernel: [<d1972c63>] usb_start_wait_urb+0x83/0xb9 [usbcore] kernel: [<d1972b60>] timeout_kill+0x0/0x80 [usbcore] kernel: [<d1972cfb>] usb_internal_control_msg+0x62/0x7d [usbcore] kernel: [<d1972da0>] usb_control_msg+0x8a/0x9d [usbcore] kernel: [<d19734f4>] usb_get_string+0x56/0x62 [usbcore] kernel: [<d1973fd3>] usb_string+0x132/0x23f [usbcore] kernel: [<c01d5ffa>] vsprintf+0x12/0x16 kernel: [<d1979f82>] usb_dump_device_descriptor+0xbc/0xc3 [usbcore] kernel: [<d197a07d>] usb_dump_device_strings+0xf4/0x119 [usbcore] kernel: [<d197a0ef>] usb_dump_desc+0x4d/0xad [usbcore] kernel: [<d197a2c0>] usb_device_dump+0x171/0x2fd [usbcore] kernel: [<d197a3c4>] usb_device_dump+0x275/0x2fd [usbcore] kernel: [<d197a51c>] usb_device_read+0xd0/0x11b [usbcore] kernel: [<c0140c4b>] vfs_read+0xa9/0xf5 kernel: [<c0140e68>] sys_read+0x38/0x59 kernel: [<c0103bb7>] syscall_call+0x7/0xb ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
