hi

I hope you can help, i'm having trouble sending to the list, it keeps coming
up as i've failed the postmaster test, although I have a
[EMAIL PROTECTED] account set up. I was wondering if you
could forward the following to the list.

regards
Charles
------------------------------

Fedora Core 2 - Genesys Genelink USB 2 USB network adapter

(Due to being unable to send to the list, i've asked randy to forward this for
me, for some reason it fails the postmaster test even though one is created
(if any1 knows how to fix would be appreciated)
.....

I dont know whether it's already been posted on the list as i've had problems
lately with my email (and I cant remember where the archives are), but I have
a genesys genelink usb to usb network cable.

what's happening is this, in windows it works fine, under linux it
recognises it properly as usb0 but as soon as I try to allocate an ip
(192.168.0.100) I get a kernel panic with a fatal exception in the
interrupt
 handler.

has any1 seen this before? if so can it be fixed?

 the system specs are: -

 compaq presario 2500
 2.8G celeron
512 meg memory (- 64meg for onboard gfx)
 onboard gfx: intel IGP830M
 onboard Sound: ALi AC-Wave (M5451)
VT82xxxxx uhci and ehci usb controllers
MacPhyter onboard 10/100 LAN (NatSemi DP83815)

I was not using the onboard lan at the time (no spare router slots) but
when
I do use that it's fine. Everything else works as per spec.

 regards
charles
