Then probably the app is opening the port O_NONBLOCK but not expecting short writes.
After confirming that is indeed what they're doing, I've gone ahead and explained that on their mailing list, though I don't expect a patch from them anytime soon.
I'm hoping to get some time to look into that code in the near future -- but work is only getting busier (and I'm only getting more frustrated with not having my numbers on my phone, heh).
If you do find time to look at it, and I can be of any help, please let me know. I think I've provided all the USB debugging logs that were applicable in my previous post -- but anything else you want, I'm happy to provide.
