Hello Folks, I upgraded to FC2 recently and immediately ran into USB problems that I had never encountered previously, the USB being very reliable on earlier RH releases.
On kernel 2.6.5 (the kernel that came with the dist. CDs) USB was extremely flakey with my Zip drive and, particularly, the HD not being recognised at all almost all the time. I upgraded to kernel 2.6.6 but the USB problem still exists. It is particularly useless as it stands. I googled around and found a workaround that seems to work fairly reliably, which is to remove the ehci_hcd module before plugging in my Zip drive (USB powered) and/or turning on my HD (own PS). Is this problem fixed yet in the 2.6 kernels? If so, what updates do I need? If not, what uses the ehci_hcd module? If nothing uses it how can I stop it loading at boot time?
