Hi Vojtech! Hi USB developers! I found the following strange behaviour:
I have a Acer laptop with synaptics touchpad: mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard on isa0060/serio0 Synaptics Touchpad, model: 1 Firmware: 5.8 180 degree mounted touchpad Sensor: 29 new absolute packet format Touchpad has extended capability bits -> 4 multi-buttons, i.e. besides standard buttons -> multifinger detection -> palm detection input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad on isa0060/serio1 Now comes the strange part: I have a usb mouse: Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0d62:1000 Darfon Electronics Corp. When this USB mouse is plugged in AFTER the synaptics is detected, no problems, everything works. I usually plug it in as soon as I see INIT. Then both synaptics touchpad and mouse is working. But: If I plug it in prior to detection of the synaptics, the synaptics is not detected at all: input: PS/2 Generic Mouse on isa0060/serio1 Is there anything I can do to fix this? (btw: 2.6.9-rc1-mm4 with debian/sid) Best wishes Norbert ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Norbert Preining <preining AT logic DOT at> Technische Universität Wien gpg DSA: 0x09C5B094 fp: 14DF 2E6C 0307 BE6D AD76 A9C0 D2BF 4AA3 09C5 B094 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHICAGO (n.)
