Hi! I work actually on my Diploma Project and I have some problems with USB.
We have a board with a processor PowerQuicc and with an USB interface (master or slave). We have a jumper to choice when we want to be in a host or a slave mode. The operating system on the board is vxWorks. We must manage this board by the USB interface with a Windows or Linux host. To do this we must implement a driver on the vxWorks to work with the USB interface. We send an XML content to manage this board. When the host (Windows or Linux) plug the board with the cable, we muste have theses things : - The host must download the different descriptors to know the category class of the driver to use in the host side. Now, I don't know if it's possible that the driver is on the board and when there is the plug, the host download the driver. However, can I use a standard driver on Linux or Windows to manage and communicate with my board ? - We would that the host (Windows or Linux) receive automatically a java application stored on the board, but automatically after the plug. I don't no if this is possible. After that this application would be automatically started on the JVM. To resume, the operator man comes with his personal notebook, he muste manage the board so he plug the board on his personal notebook. Then one java application open automatically and he can do something on the board (change parameters, check leds, change config, ...). But we mustn't install anything on the notebook, no driver installation, no application installation !!! Please help-me this is very important !
