Hi, I've recently bought an USB printer (a Kyocera-Mita FS-1020D), but I'm having some troubles with it and the 2.6 kernel.
When I print something with more than one page, I get a dmesg filled with usb 1-2.4: control timeout on ep0in /usr/src/linux-2.6.8-gentoo-r10/drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: error -110 reading printer status which seems to me a problem similar to other I found with usb on 2.6 about the usbdevfs access (I'm using Gentoo Linux with hotplug, which is probably accessing often to devfs). I found this thread http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/18993 on gmane which reports a bug which is probably the same of mine, and I found a patch ( http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-usb-devel&m=108593392122076&q=raw ) from Vojtech Pavlik for usbstorage which seems to fix the same problem. I haven't so much time in these days so I can't take a direct look to the code, but I home someone can help me, pointing me to a patch, or at least telling me which functions are involved in usblp transmission, to try to make it works right.
