Both st and sg will fall back to internal bounce buffers if the pages cannot be accessed. USB is slower than RAM, so the performance loss is small. True SCSI is not so slow compared to memory. To libusb that is a correctness issue, however. Either code similar to st and sg is needed or we allocate the RAM in kernel.
