Hello,

In /usb/storage/usb.c, in usb_stor_control_thread(),we
set current->flags |= PF_NOFREEZE; can anyone explain shortly, in 3-4 sentences,
for what is it done?


As I understand setting this flag prevent the thread to put in
the refreigerator (even in suspend).

(BTW, apart from there is , in linux 2.6.7/drivers, setting of PF_NOFREEZE flag
is done only in 2 more places under :
in loop_thread(void *data) in block/loop.c and in
scsi_error_handler(void *data) in scsi/scsi_error.c.).
