Hi Greg K-H, Ganesh and everyone else! I want to patch the "ipaq" serial-over-USB driver so that it hangs up the serial line when I suspend my laptop.
Linux distro: Fedora Core 3 Laptop: Thinkpad T30 Power management: APM If I connect my iPAQ via USB, start a PPP session, suspend my computer, remove the USB cable to the iPAQ, and wake up my computer again, the PPP connection is still there, but not doing anything useful. (I have to kill pppd with SIGKILL, SIGTERM is not enough.) Is there anything I can do in the "ipaq" kernel driver to get the behaviour I want, or will this simply be corrected as a side effect of this patch? http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-usb-devel&m=110187037914366&w=2 -- Regards, -\- David Eriksson -/- SynCE - http://synce.sourceforge.net ScummVM - http://scummvm.sourceforge.net Desquirr - http://desquirr.sourceforge.net ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
