Often the Logitech internet navigator keyboard is not recognized by the kernel:
usb 1-1.1: adding 1-1.1:1.0 (config #1, interface 0) usb 1-1.1:1.0: hotplug usbhid 1-1.1:1.0: usb_probe_interface usbhid 1-1.1:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id usbhid: probe of 1-1.1:1.0 failed with error -5 It happens about 75% of the times. I have to detach and attach the cable several times at every boot and it's quite annoying. The EIO error is printed by /drivers/usb/core/usb.c:usb_probe_interface(), but what function is actually called with driver->probe() ? Linux Jay 2.6.10 #2 SMP Wed Dec 29 19:01:55 CET 2004 ppc unknown No problems with MacOSX and Linux 2.4.x or other keyboards. The problem occurs with any 2.6 kernel. -- Giuliano. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
