Hi.
Some months ago the original author of the Phillips Webcam driver (Nemosoft) stopped the development and ask to remove the driver from the kernel tree.
In the meantime Luc Saillard (http://saillard.org/linux/pwc/) hast taken over the maintenance of the (GPL'ed) sources and as far as I can say the "new" driver works very stable (testet it very well with my Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000). It's even better because someone don't need those binary-only part (pwcx) :-D .
So I think it would be time to reintegrate the driver to the vanilla kernel, isn't it?
Of course Luc would have to submit his patches to the responsible maintainer,... Greg K.H. right?
So what do you think about a reintegration?
Greetings, cam.
