at once (but in a good way) or I'd do it tonight.

Other than not be able to respond as quickly as I would like, I am happy
to work on testing and getting this to work. Oh yes, feel free to
mention my name and email in regards to this though I have to admit I
like working through you since I know nothing of the usb or kernel
internals (and while I'm mildly curious about how usb works, my
interests lie primarily in other subjects so I don't feel a strong
desire to spend a great deal of time learning it).

My comment on the log file:
There was nothing in the log which is out of the ordinary for an sq905
camera. I did not think there would be but I asked for the log in order to
be quite certain. No, the problem was definitely not that the camera was
expecting some new command sequence.
