Hi,
I have a smc2821usb adaper which has no support
on linux. Vendor 07b8 and ProdID=4006
(it doesn't work with kaweth driver)
The adapter uses HomePNA v 1.0 & 2.0.
The manufacturer, Smc, doesn't want to give specs
for their product.
We have decided to make this devel a project with
two of my friends. We disassembled the adapter
and we found:
- KL5KUSB101B chip
We think this controls the usb and also
ethernet in some level
- broadcom BCM4210KTF
I found a binary driver from linksys
for BCM42xx PCI-devices. The driver doesn't
compile with 2.4.27-kernel and the documents
say it supports only 2.4.17
- The ISSI IS61LV256
very high-speed, low power,
32,768-word by 8-bit static RAM
Here are some pictures taken from the device:

sorry about the bad quality. (videocamera)
I would like to make the driver we are building to work
with 2.6-kernel. If it's possible, also with 2.4.
We have tested SnoopyPro (from linux-usb.org) and it
gave us some binary info. How can we make this info
useful?
What should be our next steps in this project?
Yours,
Eero Heino
