Thanks for helping me into the right mailing list :-) > If the problem is just that the driver isn't loaded, but works if it's > modprobed by hand (or statically linked), then it's a hotplug problem. > Likely the same one that prevents _real_ CDC Ethernet devices from > hotplugging. See if the attached patch improves things. Manual load did not help. Neither with rc4, rc5 nor final. I'd also dismiss the usb host adapter as I tried 4 different machines ("Intel ICH5","Intel ICH4","Intel 82801BA" and "ALI USB 1.1 r3 (Acer)") > Alternatively, I understand that the 2.6 based OpenZaurus code is > starting to work quite well on those models. I meant the "usbnet" from the host the Zaurus is being connected *to*, not the Zaurus itself (it is running a stock Sharp ROM - not OZ - as I need the Japanese hand writing support). > > Moreover, there seems to be a wrong Product ID in usbnet (already in > > 2.6.9): is=9050 should be=9031. I stubled over usbnet.c, lines 3448 to 3455. Identifying C860 as C760 should be perfectly fine anyway (with me, at least).
