Hi Alan & Dave, > Just found out that we have a Adaptec-brand controller using a EHCI 1.0 NEC > chip in one of the servers at work:
I've now bought an Adaptec AUA-3100. It uses a NEC D720101 which is EHCI 1.0 compliant. It looks much more solid than the cheap ALI and VIA cards I previously tried: the plugs have better shielding and feel more solid, the board has a bigger size and the connections on the board are thicker. And now it works! Not one single reset or disconnect in 4 hours testing I've done today. So if anyone got problems with a lot of resets and disconnects I recommend trying out a better brand-name board like this. Much thanks to Alan & Dave for helping me to track down this problem.
