http://www.cipa.jp/english/pictbridge/ Suggests that it'd only be _some_ printers, namely ones that embed a USB host and know how to talk to the cameras. The camera ("gadget") side support looks to be normal PTP support (I'd suggest doing this in userspace with gadgetfs) plus various additional stuff. The additional stuff isn't described in the white paper, but it looks like mostly some PTP protocol extensions -- with expectations of a UI, which encourages the notion of doing this in over gadgetfs. I'd guess the "talk to printer" bit is by interrupt transfers. - Dave ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
