Hello Greg , When I insmod my USB to Serial Driver module , and I insert my USB-Serial bridge I find the probe of the Generic serial driver getting called.
It should actually call the probe implemented in my modules . Note : after insmoding I do get message saying "USB serial support registered for <my USB-Serial Converter> In my setup I have the USB Generic Serial Driver support which is "in-built" in the kernel.Do I need to remove the generic driver suuport explicitly by building the kernel. Let me know if I am missing on something .
