Yeah, this has always concerned me, I saw these message well before I started working on this driver so I don't think that is the problem, although, it may be contributing to it. But I'm relatively sure that this isn't the only cause of the hangs. The only thing that is being done to the drive is being auto-mounted by gnome 2.10.0 . I hope that information helps a little bit.
