Thanks for the info, but I finally was able to get Philips technical support to provide me with these.

I was able to get the driver from Denx software to send bulk data much faster for a 2.4 kernel.

Yes, sure. We can port and test it on a PPC405EP-based custom board.
Actually, I would appreciate it you would. It would then be tested on other devices to see if it is working properly. There are still a few issues I am working on, like connecting/disconnecting devices and proper hub support, but for just handling devices that are always connected to the bus, it works fine.
We experienced similar problems. I mean that the host controller was not able to detect devices that were already plugged at boot. Let me check how we solved it ... I'll be back.
