Hi, I have been using an Okion Datamate HE113 USB 1.1 IDE convertor for some time, and under more recent 2.6 kernels it has stopped working. (Sorry can't remember the last working version). It appears to be correctly recognised, but just logs SCSI errors when access is attempted.
I have added the following entry to unusual-devs.h from 2.6.11 to get it working again (not sure of the bcdDevicemin/max parameters). Patch follows.... --- linux/drivers/usb/storage/unusual_devs.h.orig 2005-04-24 18:40:57.000000000 +0100 +++ linux/drivers/usb/storage/unusual_devs.h 2005-04-24 18:27:15.000000000 +0100 @@ -512,6 +512,13 @@ US_SC_DEVICE, US_PR_DEVICE, NULL, US_FL_FIX_INQUIRY ), +/* Reported by Mark Clegg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> */ +UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x05e3, 0x0702, 0x0000, 0x0113, + "Okion", + "Datamate HE-113", + US_SC_DEVICE, US_PR_DEVICE, NULL, + US_FL_FIX_INQUIRY ), + /* Reported by Hanno Boeck <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * Taken from the Lycoris Kernel */ UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x0636, 0x0003, 0x0000, 0x9999, As requested in the unusual-devs.h header here is a copy of my /proc/bus/usb/devices T: Bus=02 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2 B: Alloc= 0/900 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 2.06 S: Manufacturer=Linux 2.6.11-gentoo-r6 uhci_hcd S: Product=Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM USB (Hub #2) S: SerialNumber=0000:00:1f.4 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.)
