Hi, Today I tried kernel 2.6.12-rc4 on my iBook G4 to check whether sleep works properly yet. I found that it panics if my USB hub is attached to the iBook when I try to sleep the machine.
It does not make a difference whether any device is attached to the hub or not. Without the hub attached, sleep works fine, even with a USB device attached to the laptop. lsusb lists my hub as "Bus 004 Device 003: ID 0409:0058 NEC Corp. HighSpeed Hub". The hub is built into a BenQ FP231W LCD panel.
