Well, I've used it, but not as a device controller.
Just in case you're referring to the host controller function, it
can transfer USB traffic with odd numbers of bytes just fine.

The even number of byte limitation comes in (as far as I understand
it) when transferring from your processor to the ISP1362 chip. 
However, the drivers should handle that.
