I didn't see a followup to this ... could there really be an
argument that it's _not_ a bug?  :)

There are two obvious candidates for its location.  One is
the UHCI driver (in this case), the other is the hub driver.
(I'd not suspect usb-storage in this case.)

And if so, does the latest MM patch fix it?  There are a
variety of fixes there, at least one of which resolved
a puzzling (to me!) UHCI problem someone else had.
