Hi,
We are facing some problems with the USB core driver of Linux Kernel
2.6.10. We are using the Linux kernel for MIPS32 architecture running
with a CPU frequency of 125 Mhz.
The Linux Kernel 2.6.10 is compiled with "kernal pre-emption"
enabled. After booting the compiled kernel along with the usb driver
loaded, when we connect a USB device for ex: keyboard. we got the
message specified below.

# usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using ohci and address 2
usb 1-1: Product: USB MULTIMEDIA KEYBOARD
usb 1-1: Manufacturer: DARFON
usb 1-1: khubd timed out on ep0out
usb 1-1: can't set config #1, error -145
usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using ohci and address 3
usb 1-1: unable to read config index 0 descriptor/start
usb 1-1: can't read configurations, error -71

#

With the pre-emption disabled, the device gets detected and works
well with that driver.

Is there any reason why the kernel behaves this way? Is there a
possible solution for the above mentioned problem?

Thanks
Ravindra
