Hi everybody, I boughta Logitech Quickcam Fusion in the hope that it would comply with the USB Video Class, as the comments in the Windows drivers seemed to imply:
lvuvc.sys=1 ; USB Video Class driver lvmjpeg.sys= 1 ; MJPEG kernel decoder Unfortunately, the camera reports a vendor class. I tried to play a bit with the device, and found out that some Video Class requests and functionnalities are supported (the Status Interrupt endpoint for instance, which notifies me of a button event, works nicely). I haven't been to test video streaming, as there are no video class specific descriptors. I would like to know if anyone has had more success with any of the so-called video class webcams: %PID_08C1_DD%=PID_08C1,USB\VID_046D&PID_08C1&Mi_00 ; QuickCam Fusion %PID_08C2_DD%=PID_08C2,USB\VID_046D&PID_08C2&Mi_00 ; V3 - Orbit %PID_08C3_DD%=PID_08C3,USB\VID_046D&PID_08C3&Mi_00 ; Adams - Notebooks Pro %PID_08C5_DD%=PID_08C5,USB\VID_046D&PID_08C5&Mi_00 ; Zinc - Pro 5000 %PID_08CF_DD%=PID_08CF,USB\VID_046D&PID_08CF&Mi_00 ; Cambay - default or if I should bring the webcam back to the store. As I only have 10 days left to do so, I'd appreciate answers before the deadline :-) Is it worth asking Logitech for information ? Does anyone know a contact person there ? Laurent Pinchart PS: If you need more information, like a full descriptor dump, feel free to e-mail me. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ linux-usb-devel@lists.sourceforge.net To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
