That's not normally a concern for everyday use, which is what the default syslog.conf file is set up for. Besides, a unified syslog is a good example of removing a problem by beating it to death. I assume you mean the delay in the retry look for setting the address, since the other one is never executed in my current situation. No joy at 500 in steps of 500 up to 2000. Has no effect on the flash drive either.
