Pete,

I've been looking into adjusting IDLE_TIMEOUT.  Unfortunately, I've been
dealing with some other issues first.  Preliminary testing seems to
indicate that adjusting the idle timeout will work, but I need to do
some more testing.

Chris, did you have a chance to test Alan's suggestion to increase the
IDLE_TIMEOUT?

I have not got an access to a suitable HP box yet (all I found either
runs RHEL 3 or has AMD CPUs with OHCI).

Clearly, if usb-uhci worked and uhci-hcd fails, there should be a way to
fix this whithout making the higher level drivers to adjust.
