You'll need to add the USB_SERIAL_OPTION to your kernel. I think the drvier was added in 2.6.12.
It's under the USB Serial Converter support. see http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=13033838 for information about creating a patch. You'll need to add the vendor 0x0c88 and product 0x17da.
