Hi dfoley,
I use this chip in a project as well.
We got drivers from Philips for 2.6.9 - pci.
Interesting. What do you mean with 'pci'? I chose that chips just
because
I do *not* have a PCI bus in this setup?
I generally have it working on our hardware but not without
problems and
have challenges getting support from Philips.
Which licence did Philips use? Would it be possible to put that driver
into the CVS so more people can have a look at it? Maybe to an
experimental
branch or something?
What kind of problems did you encounter?
I have this connected to an ARM processor and have an Ellisys 2.0
analyzer. I would like to see this started with the current linux as
well, and would like to play a part in some way.
Porting a driver from 2.6.9 to 2.6.15 shouldn't be that hard, should it?
Also, it would be good to know in which way you connected the ISP to the
ARM. I kept strictly to the Philips application note when designing the
schematics but they don't say anything about the connection of DREQ, DAC
and CS#.
Greets,
Daniel
