My question was, I wanted to know the general minor_base used for a usb
memory stick/mass-storage, like scanner is having minor base 48. In the same
manner I would like to know the minor base what we can use for a
mass-storage driver which is available in linux.

To reserve a USB minor number, send the USB maintainer your driver, in
patch form that can be accepted to the main kernel tree, and he will
give you an official USB minor number.
