Hi,
I get two different results from a USB barcode reader (PSC - Quickscan 6500
using usbhid) on two different Linux systems.
On the "broken" system it keeps randomly swapping digits.
On my laptop, Linux Knoppix 2.6.12 #2 SMP, I would correctly scan barcodes with
these serial numbers:
20906
20959
20779
21126
while on my desktop, Linux Gentoo 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 #9, the scan is:
20096 - swaps these
20599 - swaps sometimes
20779 - doesn't swap this one
21126/22116 - randomly swaps these!
The other funny thing is, that this only seems to occur in bash, I tried
scanning into Thunderbird and the results were always correct, scanning into
Konqueror gave even more random errors.
Is there some strange difference between bash on the laptop or my desktop?
