Guess I'd better explain this one. In short, the option driver works 
much better than the anydata driver for my Anydata modem. I get twice 
the throughput, and I am able to close the ppp connection and open it 
again without cycling power on the modem. With the anydata driver, I 
have to cycle power.

I have no info about the hardware inside the modem.

I also tried the airprime driver with the latest patches. It works 
better than the current anydata driver, but throughput is less than with 
the option driver, and you have to cycle power between ppp connections.
