Why the huge pause, anyway? I find myself getting impatient when Windows takes a second or so to initialize a device, and the single most annoying thing about my iPod Shuffle is that it has a self-imposed 1-second delay before it shows up on USB. I know that this delay can be tweaked, and that I'm somewhat impatient; but this seems like an odd default, giving people a "slow and unresponsive" first impression of usb-storage, and more so if it causes new problems on other hardware. Could the delay be isolated to the devices that need it? -- Glenn Maynard ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
