Subject: [Bugme-new] [Bug 7026] New: CD/DVD burning with USB writer doesn't work

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7026

Summary: CD/DVD burning with USB writer doesn't work
    Kernel Version: 2.6.17.8
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
             Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
         Submitter: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur: 2.6.13.2, perhaps 2.6.14/
2.6.15 (I found it broken since 2.6.16)

Distribution: Debian Unstable

Hardware Environment: i686, USB Mass Storage Device Genesyslogic 001600016303
Software Environment: cdrecord (newest released version), Nero Linux
Problem Description: cdrecord cannot burn, error message:

Cannot allocate memory. write_g1: scsi sendcmd: no error
CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 1B 00
status: 0x0 (GOOD STATUS)
cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 200s
cdrecord: A write error occured.

Nero simply complains about an unknown burn error without details.
