Subject: [Bugme-new] [Bug 7155] New: Bug with palm Tx + visor + ehci_hcd on
amd64

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7155

Summary: Bug with palm Tx + visor + ehci_hcd on amd64
    Kernel Version: 2.6.18-rc6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
             Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
         Submitter: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Distribution: Debian amd64 unstable
Hardware Environment: palm Tx linked on USB, ehci_hcd module managing USB
Software Environment: palmsync tools
Problem Description: After a few connection on my palm tx (palm-xfer -p
/dev/pilot -l), I see the following error appear in my /var/log/kern.log
The device /dev/pilot is then unusable.

Sep 13 15:46:40 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: new full speed USB device using
ehci_hcd and address 11
Sep 13 15:46:40 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: device descriptor read/64, error
-71
Sep 13 15:46:40 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: device descriptor read/64, error
-71
Sep 13 15:46:40 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: new full speed USB device using
ehci_hcd and address 12
Sep 13 15:46:41 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: device not accepting address 12,
error -71
Sep 13 15:46:41 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: new full speed USB device using
ehci_hcd and address 13
Sep 13 15:46:41 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: device not accepting address 13,
error -71
Sep 13 15:46:46 localhost kernel: usb 1-4.4: new full speed USB device using
ehci_hcd and address 14

Then it never ends up allocating a new address, it go until address 127 then
starts again from 2

The first two connections on my palm goes fine, then it breaks.
Unloading/Loading visor module does not make it work again.
