Hello,
I have said remote. I plug it into computer, and sometimes
it works, sometimes it does not. When it works it behaves like
keyboard. ex pressing "1" will output 1 on xterm, pressing up/down
arrows will move across bash history.

Most often it works when I reboot system.

If I unplug and plug it in again, it usually won't work.

If I plug it in when system is already on, it usually won't work.
Perhaps restaring X would help, not sure.

        Ideas?
Should remote prsent itself as an keyboard/mouse device?

I have put here some informations regarding this remote:
        (chip id,dmesg,lsusb,photos,datasheet)

                http://www.missl.cs.umd.edu/~adam/cy/

In particular it is got :
                Cypress CY7C63001 A-SC 0406 G 02 606773

Can I somehow reset the Cypress chip from userspace?
Reading the datasheet it seems that it has suspend mode,
which perhaps here is the source of problems.

[please CC me]
