My Canon photo camera is visible on USB bus only when I'm root, and
invisible when I'm user:

gphoto2 also can access the camera only when run as root.

I don't see anything strange in dmesg, -- when I connect the camera, the
following appears:

usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

Any idea what's going on here?
