I can just see the flamewars starting up: "There's no kerneldoc for VFS,
so why do we have to write documentation for USB?"  :-)

It's evident that we have reached the limit of my knowledge about VFS, so 
I can't be much use solving any remaining problems.

Greg's advice sounds good.  You should start a new email thread devoted to
this sysfs patch and CC: Maneesh Soni <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.  He ought to 
be interested in it, and he probably can answer all our questions.
